| dc.description.abstract | Se analiza la complicada administración colonial a través de las vicisitudes de un hombre
concreto, Rafael Delgado. El periodo acotado se corresponde con años en los que se consolida
su carrera militar, llegando a convertirse en gobernador de isla Trinidad, gracias en buena parte
a los vínculos establecidos con distintos funcionarios de la Corona. Se consultaron diferentes
archivos para reconstruir esta historia: el Archivo General de Indias de Sevilla, el Archivo
Histórico Nacional de Madrid, el Archivo General de Simancas, así como el Archivo
Parroquial de Navalcarnero y el Archivo Histórico Provincial de Cádiz. | es_VE |

The complicated colonial administration is analyzed through the vicissitudes of a particular
man, Rafael Delgado. The limited period corresponds to the years in which he consolidates his
military career, becoming eventually governor of the Island of Trinidad, thanks largely to the
links established with several officials of the Crown. Several archives and parish registers were
consulted to reconstruct this story: the General Archive of Indies of Seville, the National
Historical Archive of Madrid, the General Archive of Simancas, as well as the parish register in
Navalcarnero and the Histórical Provincial Archive of Cadiz. | es_VE |
