Abstract
En Venezuela no se observó una inmigración masiva de japoneses como se registraba en otros países latinoamericanos, debido a la ley venezolana de inmigración y colonización de 1894 y sus modificaciones, que no aceptaba a "los individuos que no sean de raza europea". Sin embargo, el autor revela que, mientras se llevaban a cabo incesantes conversaciones entre ambos países para sanjar el problema, algunos japoneses entraron a Venezuela eludiendo la Ley, creando la base de la actual comunidad japonesa antes de la Segunda Guerra Mundial.

| Resumen en otro Idioma | In Venezuela, unlike other Latin American countries, massive immigration from Japan did not occur. This was due to the 1894 Law of Immigration and Colonization and its successive amendments, which denied entry to "individuals of races other than the European." However, while ceaseless negotiations were carried out between both countries in order to solve the problem, some Japanese individuals were able to enter the country by circumventing the law, thus laying the foundation of the current Japanese community before The Second World War. |
