Resumen en otro Idioma | of Japanese descendants –the so-called nikkei– to immigrate to Japan, their “homeland”, searching for a better life, as their ancestors did when migrated to Latin America time ago. After almost three decades of the arrival of Latin Americans to Japan, some challenges have persisted around integration and new ones arise, in a current context of debate about migration in times of demographic crisis. Th is work aims to review the migratory history of Nikkeis, as well as to examine the role of diff erent social actors in their integration to Japan, and the permanence of the Japanese ethnic discourse. |
