Resumen en otro Idioma | The ethical behavior of university students remains a subject of research. Studies conducted by some authors showed a strong correlation between unethical behavior in the academic field and unethical behavior in the workplace. In this context, generating knowledge about the perception and attitude that university students present towards unethical actions in the academic environment, would be the first step to understand this problem and generate solutions for the future. The purpose of this research is to identify the attitudes in the ethical behavior of the students of FACES - ULA, as well as their perception on beliefs that involve conflict between the success in business and ethics. For this, 158 students were surveyed, finding that the majority define themselves as ethical individuals, but as a group they define themselves as unethical. A significant number of students said they had been involved in unethical actions in the academic field, such as copying themselves in an exam or copying works from the internet, making them seem like their own. The female gender supports to a greater extent the premise that success in business is not in contradiction with ethics. |
