Con el presente trabajo se examina el concepto de la marca de certificación, clasificando los tipos
de marcas de certificación forestal. Así mismo, se realiza un análisis de los actores, elementos
y requisitos involucrados en el proceso de acreditación y certificación forestal. La investigación
permite contrastar la certificación de gestión forestal con la certificación de productos forestales
fundamentada en la realización de ensayos y/o pruebas técnicas para comparar resultados con
requisitos establecidos en las normas. Posteriormente, se exponen los primeros intentos realizados
por el Laboratorio Nacional de Productos Forestales de la Universidad de Los Andes (LNPF-ULA,
Venezuela) relacionados a la certificación de productos forestales en los distintos laboratorios
especializados que lo conforman y finalmente, se considera la posibilidad de que el LNPF-ULA
pueda gestionar un proceso de acreditación que lo convierta en un organismo certificador de
productos forestales recuperando su rol en todo lo que concierne a la ciencia y tecnología de
la madera y los productos forestales para así posicionarse como pieza fundamental del sistema
forestal nacional.

Resumen en otro Idioma | First, the concept of certification mark are examined by classifying the types of forest certification marks. Then, actors, elements and requirements involved in the process of forest certification and accreditation are discussed. After, forest management certification is contrasted with the certification of forest products based on the testing and / or technical tests to compare results certification of forest products based on the testing and / or technical tests to compare results with required standards. Later, the first attempts by the National Laboratory of Forest Products of the Universidad de Los Andes (LNPF-ULA, Venezuela) related to certification of forest products in its various specialized labs that are mentioned. Finally, we consider the possibility that the LNPF-ULA can manage an accreditation process becoming a forest product certification entity and regaining its role in everything that concerns the science and technology of wood and forest products as well as positioning itself as a fundamental player in the national forest system. |
