Resumen en otro Idioma | The contempt and destruction not only of the architectural, historical, religious and military heritage, but also of the documentary, ideographic, phonographic, ethno-anthropological, archaeological, and photographic films are just brief examples of the process of (de)valuation and (de)territoriality of collective memory. however, Venezuelan cultural policies at the end of the 20th century, busy with the programmatic growth of activities and services of an artistic-cultural nature, they seem not to have been aware of or taken charge of the transformations that are approaching us with regard to the agents, institutions, articulations and processes related to the enhancement of cultural heritage and its demand for "us". what is named today when we say "we"? What is the citizen reference and its cultural representation as a collective and local identity? Although territorial identity is a formula useful to accumulate what we could describe as "consensus surplus" or "operative solidarity", beyond the uses to which said social capital can be put It must be considered that ultimately this demand for "us" is expressed through cultural identity. Indeed, it is in the municipalities, and particularly in the Cities, as a form of government organization, where the crisis of the existing links between civil society and the State at the local level is more clearly perceived, and of course, the search for new social meanings as a correlation of forces that are redefined in time (throughout history) and in the territory, but Above all, the crisis of the dimension of "the public" through a kind of disembodiment of the body-space that affects the sense of identity as origin, evolution and project and, to a large extent, the scope, meaning and strength of an asset valuation. Consequently, rethinking the future of collective memory means forming a Shared idea about the recognition of plurality whose degree of evaluative and symbolic appropriation is decided through a democratic process in which all participate stakeholders taking into account their daily cultural practices and habits, and not a government elite, to prevent our living heritage from becoming "museum cities" |
