Resumen en otro Idioma | The Trujillo historiography has been flagellated by forgetfulness, oblivion, the little interest that is given to the study of our roots, culture. To this is added the fact that in the Venezuelan chronology there are facts, phenomena, events, which have had an impact on society in a transcendent way. For this reason, this research was born as an initiative of the second cohort of the Diploma in Afro-Venezuelan Education and Pedagogy of the Samuel Robinson University of Teaching, in the state of Trujillo, and its purpose is to know the relevance of the African diaspora in the Trujillo context as a background in the construction of regional identity, because the information on the slave trade in our state is scarce, however, thanks to the contributions of some recognized researchers, documents, books, it has been possible to triangulate the information through the analysis interpretive hermeneutic. Based on what has been described, arguing that the African diaspora is a topic of interest in the historical, cultural, syncretic, social, economic process, in the identity construction of our country, it is necessary to continue researching about the African ancestors, to spread in educational institutions, research centers and groups. |
