Resumen en otro Idioma | To achieve germination of the seeds of E. cinerea of a high relative humidity and high temperatures are required, that which favors the growth of pathogens, as Erwinia sp., bacteria that appears at the moment of germination, giving a low percentage ad a result of this and high mortality of seedlings, for what there is a low survival to the moment of the transplant. Whit the purpose of seeking a solution to this problem, several tests were made, the first of them consisted of three treatments replied twice with 50 seeds each one: the test control, seeds with lactic acid (0.8 ml/l), another with Plant Preservative Mixture (PPM 1ml/1) and the last one with oxacilline (1mg/ml). The seeds were incubated to 27 ± 2°C and continuous dim light. In another test the seeds were placed in agitation during one hour in a solution with oxaciline (1mg/ml), then they were washed and placed to germinate in sterile distilled water in equal conditions that the previous ones; in the test control a germination of 12% and 93% in oxacilline and 0% were obtained in the rest; for the other test, the germination percentage was of 98% by the three days of germination; to the fifth day, the average in height of seedlings was 1.8 cm. The transplant was made later between the 7 and 15 days, in recipients with sterile basis (sand: rice shell: dark soil) in equal proportion for then being transferred some of them to greenhouse conditions and others to shelter. The Survival was of 100% |
