Abstract
Con la finalidad de conocer las concepciones de estudiantes de cuarto año de Educación Media General sobre mol y cantidad de sustancia, se llevó a cabo la investigación en el Liceo Bolivariano Ejido, municipio Campo Elías estado Mérida-Venezuela, los informantes fueron veintiocho estudiantes entre 14 y 17 años de edad. Considerando el paradigma interpretativo, enfoque cualitativo, tipo descriptiva, los hallazgos obtenidos a través de la técnica de la observación y entrevista, utilizando un cuestionario, vislumbró concepciones erradas en la construcción del concepto de mol y cantidad de sustancia sin establecer correlaciones entre ellos, aunado a las estrategias del docente, repercutiendo de manera negativa en los temas siguientes, al no ser significativos para los estudiantes.

| Resumen en otro Idioma | In order to know the conceptions of fourth year students of General Media Education about mole and quantity of substance, the research was carried out in the Liceo Bolivariano Ejido, Campo Elías municipality, Merida state, Venezuela, the informants were twenty-eight students among 14 and 17 years old. Considering the interpretative paradigm, qualitative approach, descriptive type, field design and case study modality, The findings obtained through the technique of observation and interview, using a questionnaire, I glimpse misconceptions in the construction of the concept of mole and quantity of substance without establishing relations between them, together with the strategies of the teacher, having a negative impact on the following topics since they are not significant for the students. |
