| es_VE |

dc.description.abstract1 | The "critical theory" has influenced the learning and teaching of mathematics. When the so-called Critical Math Education is established, it assumes some of its constructs to be theorized and applied in actual classroom practice or in any other contexts where mathematical knowledge is handled. Its highlights include: problematical and dialogical, reflection and action, emancipation, democratic competition, thoughtful mathematical knowledge, the mathematics-culture relationship mathematics, mathematics as a social and human construct, and the teacher-student as a political subject, not just cognitive. The analysis of these constructs should help future teachers, not only to reflect on the practical knowledge of the teaching content, but also to think critically about how their pedagogical actions have moral and ethical impact on the students. | es_VE |
