| es_VE |

dc.description.abstract1 | Due Guárico state is one of the main cereal producers and livestock production with a feeding with harvest remainders, was lead to raise teh present study on the sanitary characterization of production systems with integrated bovines of double purpouse
with maize, in the high land zones of Roscio and Ortiz Counties, by means of seroprevalence determination of trypanosomosis and brucellosis. 268 animals were sampled, males and females, males, young and adults, of three farms located in
each one from the Counties, in two opportunities: one at dry season and another one at raining season. Sera were processed
by the techniques of: indirect immunofluorescence antibody technique (IFAT) (trypanosomosis, 193 samples) and pink
Bengala test (brucellosis, 206 samples). Was obtained an average for trypanosomosis general seroprevalence of 60%, grouping in a 56.9% seroreactors at rainy season and 45.7% at dry season. In relation to the brucellosis, was obtained an average for general seroprevalence of 2,9%. For the dry season it was 0.97% and 1.94% for the rainy season, where 66.66% of the positive cases were grouped, within which 50% were represented by adults, 25% by 0-12 months of age and 25% by animals of 13-24 months of age, finding significant differences by age (P>0.05). y season and in adult females. Confirming the endemic character of the bovine trypanosomosis and brucellosis
in different agroecological environments of the integrated bovine farms with maize crop in these Counties of Guárico state. It´s
necessary an intervention with strategic programms of control (preventive and curative) in order to solve this sanitary problems that would be affecting the production and productivity of livestock
and because they represents a high epidemiological risk for dissemination of both diseases, these reasons require joint
operations of the organisms involved in animal health of the Guárico state in order to elaborate strategies for their control. | es_VE |
