| dc.description.abstract | El censo indígena efectuado por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE) en el año 2001, omitió en el empadronamiento por error o desconocimiento al pueblo indígena Timote. Esto trae consecuencias negativas para el mencionado pueblo, pues al no aparecer en las estadísticas oficiales de la nación, tampoco será tomado en cuenta en la planificación y ejecución de programas estatales. Esta circunstancia motivó la realización de un censo de población y vivienda en el sector de El Paramito Alto, lugar donde han habitado los Timote desde tiempos ancestrales. | es_VE |
