dc.description.abstractEl sector público en Venezuela está constituido por organizaciones que manejan la economía del Estado, sean del poder central o como organismos descentralizados, cuya misión es brindar a la colectividad, la producción de bienes y servicios necesarios para satisfacer a la población. El agua como recurso natural renovable y apropiable, es administrada por el Estado a través de empresas hidrológicas, considerándose vital para el desarrollo integral del país. Este trabajo de naturaleza bibliográfica, documental y de campo, tuvo como objetivo indagar en la descripción y caracterización del sector agua potable en Venezuela, el cual se desarrolló mediante una metodología que consistió en la búsqueda de antecedentes, desarrollo de aspectos teóricos involucrados con el suministro, el modelo de gestión y regulación del servicio del agua.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1The public sector in Venezuela is made up of organizations that manage the state’s economy, whether of the central or decentralized organizations, whose mission is to provide the community, the production of goods and services needed to satisfy the people. Water as a renewable natural resource and appropriate, is administered by the state through water companies, considered vital to the development of the country. This work of bibliographical, documentary and field, aimed to investigate the description and characterization of the drinking water sector in Venezuela, which was developed through a methodology that consisted of a search for data, development of theoretical aspects involved in the supply, the model of management and regulation of water service.es_VE
