Resumen en otro Idioma | English language teaching is a subject matter that is taught within the different levels of the educational system, and the urban and rural contexts; although in the last one, the students' cultural and economic conditions differ from a significant way. In this sense, this research aims to study high education programs in order to determine the presence of strategies, focused on the communicative approach, for the English language teaching-learning process, which are adapted to the features of rural contexts. The results showed observations related to the practice and use of didactic strategies which demonstrate that the process of learning lacks meaning for the students; hence, some teachers seem not to show some interest in contextualizing the learning process to the communities´ cultural and economic characteristics, making less interesting English teaching-learning. |
