dc.description.abstractEn este artículo se realiza un acercamiento crítico a la historiografía del tema petróleo en la Península de Paraguaná, Estado Falcón, norte de Venezuela, que aborda el período 1945 a 1970. El trabajo se dedica al examen y reconstrucción de las líneas esenciales que fundamentan el relato, valoración y análisis del discurso historiográfico sobre el desarrollo de la industria petrolera en la región, en el espacio temporal señalado. dc.description.abstract1This article takes a critical approach to the historiography on petroleum in Paraguaná Peninsula, Falcón State, northern Venezuela, during the period 1945 to 1970. The article carries on the examination and reconstruction of the historiographical discourse about the development of the oil industry in the region, during the years indicated. A substantial body of biblio-hemerograpic data is reviewed, with special attention to the production of regional historiography, in order to establish the characteristics of the construction of ideologies and imaginaries on the subject.es_VE
