dc.description.abstractEl presidente Chávez ha dado un nuevo rumbo a la política exterior de Venezuela, desde que, en el año 2005, el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores entró bajo la guía del “Socialismo del Siglo XXI”. Con África, las relaciones han conocido un auge importante. Por ello, las nuevas líneas de la Casa Amarilla se fundan sobre bases heredadas de la tradición diplomática de la Cuarta República, ubicando la política africana de Hugo Chávez en las rupturas y continuidades con este período.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1President Hugo Chavez extended the range of Venezuela’s foreign policy since 2005, when the ministry of foreign aff airs began to be guided by “21st Century Socialism”. Th e relationships with Africa expanded to an unseen level. Yet, the new leanings of the Casa Amarilla rest upon fundamentals established by the diplomatic tradition of the Fourth Republic, locating President Chavez’s policy towards Africa in the break ups and continuity with that period.es_VE
