| dc.description.abstract | El propósito de esta investigación fue
contribuir con el ejercicio del control social
de la gestión pública en el caso del
Programa de Alimentación Escolar (PAE)
aplicado en los institutos educativos del
sector público en el estado Trujillo. Se
buscó identifi car formas de participación
ciudadana en el ejercicio de la Contraloría
Social del Programa PAE, como base
para proponer recomendaciones orientadas
a incrementar la efectividad y calidad
en el cumplimiento de los fi nes del PAE.
La investigación fue exploratoria y descriptiva,
recurriéndose a la observación
directa, entrevistas y aplicación de encuestas
en las comunidades educativas
de las escuelas seleccionadas en toda la

contribute to the exercise of social control
of public management in the case of the
school feeding Program of (PAE) implemented
in the educational institutions of
the public sector in Trujillo State. We tried
to identify forms of citizen participation in
the exercise of the Social Control of the
Program PAE, as a basis for proposing
recommendations aimed at increasing
