dc.description.abstract | El presente estudio de casos tuvo como propósito describir el impacto de la interacción como una estrategia
para desarrollar la escritura en inglés como lengua extranjera. Los participantes fueron el docente y dos
estudiantes cursantes de un Seminario de Investigación en una universidad venezolana. Se utilizaron como
técnicas de recolección de información: observación y toma de notas, entrevistas semi – estructuradas,
grabaciones y trascripciones de las conferencias entre el docente y las estudiantes. Los resultados indicaron
que los tipos de interacción: interacción oral colaborativa, conferencias con el docente y la interacción y
negociación entre compañeros ofrecen múltiples beneficios a los estudiantes en términos del mejoramiento
de la expresión escrita en inglés las cuales, a su vez, requieren del acompañamiento y orientaciones del
docente para optimizar su incidencia en el desarrollo de las habilidades en escritura. | es_VE |

dc.description.abstract1 | This case study describes the impact of interaction as a strategy to develop writing in English as a foreign
language. The participants were the teacher and two students enrolled in a Research Seminar at a Venezuelan
university. Class observations, fieldnotes, interviews with the teacher and students, tape recording and
transcriptions of teacher-student conference sessions were used for data collection. The results indicated
that the types of interaction such as: collaborative oral interaction, teacher–student conferences and
interaction and negotiation between peers offer numerous benefits for the students in terms of improving
their writing in English which require the teacher’s guidance to optimize their incidence on the developing
