dc.description.abstractEl derecho de acceso a la información pública se refiere a la libertad de los ciudadanos de buscar, solicitar, acceder, recibir, utilizar, reutilizar y difundir la información que maneja el Estado como producto de su actividad, siempre y cuando ésta no se encuentre explícitamente tipificada en excepciones y sin interferencia de las autoridades públicas. En Venezuela a pesar de que no existe un instrumento normativo que regule específicamente el acceso a la información pública, haciendo un adecuado uso de las herramientas que nos ofrece la legislación vigente, pueden dirigirse peticiones de información ante todos los entes de la administración pública y estos están obligados, de conformidad con la Constitución y las leyes, a dar oportuna y adecuada respuesta, incurriendo en responsabilidad civil, penal, administrativa o disciplinaria en caso de negar información y obstruir el ejercicio de este derecho humano fundamental ampliamente reconocido por distintos tratados y acuerdos internacionales.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1The right of access to public information refers to the freedom of citizens to seek, request, access, receive, use, reuse and disseminate the information handled by the State as a product of their activity, as long as it is not explicitly typified in exceptions, and without interference from public authorities. In Venezuela, despite the fact that there os not an normative instrument that specifically regulates access to public information, making an adequate use of the tools offered by current legislation, requests of information can be addressed to all public administration entities that are obliged, in accordance with National Constitution and laws, to provide and timely and adequate response, incurring in civil, criminal, administrative or disciplinary liability in case of denying information and obstructing the exercise of this fundamental human right widely recognized by various international agreements and treaties.es_VE
