| es_VE |

dc.description.abstract1 | Thinking the city from the symbolic imagination places us in the cultural experience of our
relationship with the world. The structure of this article aims to contrast two moments of the
Venezuelan cities. A first moment represents the cities of modernity in the twentieth century, and in
a second we will analyze how these cities of modernity, in a very short time reached the
characteristics of a metropolis. For the foregoing, we have raised as a central objective to analyze
the Venezuelan city in present time and its imaginary deployed in history, understanding the
imaginary as anessential dimension in any culture and how they are expressed in the urban symbolic
through the new forms of digital technology and their impact on the imaginaries of communication, as
well as the ways of reinventing reality. | es_VE |
