Abstract
El Dr. Kaldone G. Nweihed se constituye en un intelectual fundamental para el
rescate y depuración de la imagen del general Rafael de Nogales Méndez, sin lugar
a dudas el tachirense más universal hasta el momento. Nogales Méndez, entre
muchas otras peripecias, estuvo al frente de ejércitos del Imperio otomano durante
la I Guerra Mundial. Lo que sigue da cuenta tanto de la investigación de Nweihed
acerca del aventurero como de su relación con el Táchira y sus investigadores.
