| dc.description.abstract | El articulo se refiere a la diferencia de actitud frente al patrimonio arqueológico que ha tenido el Estado venezolano en el siglo XIX (estimuló y de museos) y en el siglo XX (abandonó esta iniciativa para dejar la arqueología reducida a la actividad puramente académica de algunos pocos investigadores universitarios). Considera los problemas de formación de recursos humanos, el aislamiento social de los arqueólogos y la falta de soportes teóricos para la disciplina. lamenta la no existencia en Venezuela de una administración del patrimonio arqueológico, de una política de formación de arqueólogos y de un soporte económico para la investigación, el rescate, la creación y mantenimiento de museos. | es_VE |

| dc.description.abstract1 | This articie is concerned with the difference in behavior towards the archaeological heritage which the Venezuela state adopted in the XIX century (Stimulated and helped creating museums and collections) vs. that it adopted in the XX century (it abandonned such an initiative and archaeology was then reduced to a purely academic activity of a few researchers). This paper considers the problems of human resource formation and training, the social isolation of archaeologists and the lack of theoretical support for the disciplina. It also laments the mon-existence in Venezuela of an administration for archaeological heritage, of a policy for the training and formation of archaeologists, and of an economical support for carrying and research for rescuing creating and research for rescuing, creating and mainteining museums. | es_VE |
