dc.description.abstractDurante las excavaciones arqueológicas que el autor realizó entre 1970 y 1971 en el sitio de Durkadi Nala, situado en la terraza más alta y antigua del Río Narmada, India Central (Armand: 1983), fueron descubiertos restos de carbón vegetal y una posible piedra de fogón representada por un canto de basalto con requebrajaduras típicas. Este material se halló asociado directamente a herramientas líticas in situ perdiense. En base a las características tipológicas del Durkadiense y a su posición estratigráfica, estas evidencias han sido asignadas tentativamente al Pleistoceno Medio del Asia (C.1 millón de años A.P) y relacionadas con el Choukoutiense de la China del Norte, pudiendo por lo tanto ser consideradas entre las más antiguas evidencias de fuego asociadas al hombre.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1Some fex charcoal bits and a ba salt pebble bearing typical cracks produced by continued contact with fire, were found during the archaeological excavations of the site of Durkadi Nala by the author. The site is placed on the highest and oldest pleistocene terrace of the Narmada River, in Central India (Armand: 1983). The evidences of fire were found directly associated with An 84 artefacts belonging to'the Durkadian lithic industry. The typological features of this industry as well as its stratigraphic position make it possible to assign tentatively the evidences to the middle Pleistoce period of Asia and thus they can be related to the Choukoutienian of China.es_VE
