dc.description.abstractSe presenta el caso de un empresario coriano del gomecismo: Andrés Henríquez Chirino, propietario rural y urbano, inversor agropecuario, prestamista, industrial y comerciante. Se consultaron archivos civiles y eclesiásticos, de gobierno y familiares, material hemerográfico y se rescató la memoria oral; utilizando una escala que cabe en la propuesta de la microhistoria italiana. Se concluye que Andrés Henríquez Chirino enlazó exitosamente el mundo rural y urbano, dejando ver el fenómeno social y económico que representó lo que denomino la elite subalterna del gomecismo.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1The case of a businessman from Coro during the Gomecista era is presented: Andrés Henríquez Chirino, a rural and urban landowner, agricultural investor,moneylender, industrialist, and merchant. Civil, ecclesiastical, government, and family archives were consulted, along with newspaper materials and oral history. The research employs a scale that fits within the framework of Italian microhistory. It is concluded that Andrés Henríquez Chirino successfully linked the rural and urban worlds, revealing the social and economic phenomenon represented by what I call the subordinate elite of Gomecismo.es_VE
