Abstract
Mediante este trabajo la autora estudia el nacimiento, desarrollo y decadencia de un movimiento político propio y característico del Estado Mérida en los Andes venezolanos, tras la desaparición del panorama político venezolano, del Gomecismo, con la muerte del dictador Juan Vicente Gómez, como lo fue el “Parrismo”, constituido en torno a las figuras del General Golfredo Masini y el Doctor Hugo Parra Pérez, desde 1936 hasta 1948, cuando se extinguió fundiéndose al Partido Social Cristiano C.O.P.E.I.
