Configuraciones narrativas en torno al suicidio feminicida, una mirada desde Chile

Resumen
Esta investigación busca reconocer configuraciones narrativas sobre suicidio
de mujeres en contexto de violencia de género, presentes en los principales medios de
comunicación online chilenos. Para esto, se difinieron categorías de análisis que articulamos
basándonos en las indicaciones para una buena comunicación sobre el tema, de
cuatro manuales sobre comunicación y género.
Aplicamos estas categorías a noticias sobre los suicidios de seis mujeres que se
quitaron la vida en el contexto de violencia de género. La investigación arrojó que los
medios recogen configuraciones narrativas que vulneran los derechos humanos de las mujeres pero
también que hay un avance,
ya que no hacen incapié en los motivos sentimentales de los hechos.

| Resumen en otro Idioma | This research seeks to recognize narrative configurations about women’s suicide in the context of gender violence, present in the main Chilean online media. For this, categories of analysis were defined, which we articulated based on the indications for good communication on the subject, from four manuals on communication and gender. We apply these categories to news about the suicides of six women who took their own lives in the context of gender violence. The investigation showed that the media collect narrative configurations that violate the human rights of women but also that there is progress, since they do not emphasize the sentimental reasons for the events. |
