Resumen en otro Idioma | Poverty must be analyzed as a trans-scale and trans-temporal phenomenon, dimensioning individuals in a spatial situation, without denying their popular cultural background related to the history of the territory in Latin America. Therefore, according to the geographic epistemology of existence, this theoretical article aims to update the concepts of urban poverty and territorial-heritage them from the metropolises. Methodologically, we articulate: a) approaches to poverty and the need for a turn of thought; b) territorial-heritage and poverty, from interculturality and existence; and c) territorial-heritage in the mitigation of spatial stigmas, from the cases of Puerto Rico, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru and Brazil. The territory is understood here as a locus of existence, supporting real or total contradictions, not restricted to scarcity or induced impoverishment. |
