Resumen en otro Idioma | The phenomenon of migration in the world is one of the oldest in history and today it is becoming increasingly important. A quantitative, non-experimental and transectional study was conducted in a snowball population sample in 60 women, 30 Chileans and 30 Haitian immigrants between 20 and 30 years of age in the commune of Chillán-Chile who met the criteria of inclusion, to compare quality of life, hygiene habits and oral health. The analyses were carried out through the SPSS software, resulting a COPD in Chilean women being lower index (9.4%) that Haitian women (11.3%), indicating that Haitian immigrant women have worse oral health. The quality of life in Chilean women is no greater than the quality of life in Haitian immigrant women. Despite their poor oral health condition, neither group perceives great influence on their quality of life. |
