dc.description.abstractLa terapia endodóntica supone riesgos como las reacciones adversas derivadas del tratamiento endodóntico. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo de campo con diseño no experimental transversal para conocer las experiencias previas de odontólogos y especialistas en Endodoncia en la práctica privada del estado Carabobo, con reacciones adversas relacionadas a la terapia endodóntica. Se aplicó una encuesta de diecisiete preguntas con opciones dicotómicas. Se midió la confiabilidad del instrumento calculando la fórmula de Kuder-Richardson (0,84) y se denotó su alta confiabilidad. Los resultados señalan que 65% de los encuestados registró al menos un tipo de reacción adversa; entre estas, 32,5% correspondieron a reacciones de hipersensibilidad tipo I por uso de dique de goma. Se puede concluir que existe un alto porcentaje de odontólogos que notifican reacciones adversas relacionadas al uso de materiales endodónticoses_VE

dc.description.abstract1Endodontic therapy, like any medical practice, involves risks. The objective of the research was to conduct a descriptive field study with cross-sectional non-experimental design in order to express the previous experiences of adverse reactions related to endodontic therapy by dentists and endodontic specialists of the Carabobo state in the exercise of his private practice, during March 2023. A survey of seventeen questions with dichotomous options was applied. The reliability of the instrument was measured by calculating the Kuder-Richardson formula (0.84) and its high reliability was denoted. Regarding the results, it was obtained that 65% of the respondents observed at least one type of adverse reaction, in addition among these reactions, 32.5% corresponds to type I hypersensitivity reactions due to the use of rubber dam. It was concluded that there is a high percentage of dentists who report adverse reactions related to the use of endodontic materialses_VE
