dc.description.abstractLa educación en India hoy es un tema complejo que refleja las contradicciones de un país milenario que puja por ubicarse entre los grandes del siglo XXI. La controversial política de "reservas" en la educación superior que pretende dar un trato preferencial a los miembros de las clases más bajas es apenas una de las aristas de este trabajo, que busca englobar los aciertos y desaciertos en materia de educación por parte del gobierno de la India independiente, sin olvidar el papel desempeñado por las llamadas Organizaciones No Gubernamentales, de cuya importante labor conoce la autora por experiencia directa.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1Education in India today is a complex topic that reflects the contradictions of a millenary country that struggles to place itself among the greatest of the 21st Century. The controversial policy of education "reserves" in university education which pretends to give a preferential treat to the members of the lowers social classes is barely one of the edges of this paper, which seeks to gather the good and the bad regarding education by the government of the independent India, not forgetting the role played by the so-called Non Government Organizations (ONG, in Spanish) whose important performance is known by the author by direct experience.es_VE
