Abstract
El objetivo del artículo es estudiar la educación primaria en Venezuela, a través de los Códigos de Instrucción Pública entre 1843 y 1897. El análisis reconstruye la estructura organizativa y funcional de la educación primaria en este período. La investigación revela datos importantes sobre el funcionamiento, organización y transformación histórica del sistema educativo en Venezuela.
