Resumen en otro Idioma | The literary fiction that is inscribed in the so-called contemporaneity allows the licenses to delve into the past to question it and question it, and from there, to transgress it. Another of the benefits of the literary word of today lies in the place from which it is related, since there is a need to give prominence to the particular anecdotes that are eluded by the oficial historical document. Well, all these considerations provide the inputs that give life to the narrative work Ciudad abandonada en el fondo de mi corazón (2011) written by Laura Antillano. Through this text, the author offers a particular look at the cultural aesthetics of the 1980s in Venezuela, with special emphasis on El Caracazo and the social and political circumstances surrounding this highly resonant cultural outbreak. Some ideas of White (1992), Medina (2009), and Aínsa (2003) used in this article allow me to understand how history is articulated with literature. Finally I can conclude that this novel forms a valuable contribution that contributes to the definition of the Venezuelan. This national feeling is reflected in the courage with which these characters face the circumstances that harass them. |
