Abstract
Considerando la conferencia mundial contra el racismo, la discriminación racial, la xenofobia y las formas conexas de intolerancia de Durban 2001, analizamos el papel del Movimientos Social Afrodescendientes, contribuciones y acciones para lograr espacios y normativas contra estos flagelos. Se demarca desde la fecha de la conferencia hasta la realización en Ginebra 2013, de un examen periódico a Venezuela sobre el tema del racismo y la discriminación. Todos los eventos en ese momento histórico nos permitirán comprender las tensiones, encuentros y disputas entre el Estado, el gobierno y los afrodescendientes organizados en la lucha por su reconocimiento y visibilidad.
